Golf
courses in Hawaii are like no other. Some feature cascading waterfalls, shimmering pools, and scenic ocean
views. Others are built on top of ancient Hawaiian temples, inactive volcanoes, cliffs, and old lava flows.
The largest names in the sport of golfing have contributed to the magnificent courses in the state. The PGA,
LPGA, and Senior PGA have all held tournaments on Hawaii's courses. Legendary players like Jack Nicklaus and

Big Island
Mauna Kea Resort

The Mauna Kea Resort was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The course was cut out of ancient lava flows, and is rated as one of the finest courses in the world, and is the best in Hawaii. Like other courses in the area, the Mauna Kea Resort is environmentally sensitive, and is a challenge to golfers.
The Orchid at Mauna Lanai

There are two courses at the Orchid at Mauna Lanai. The South Course hosts the annual "Senior Skins Game" where famous golfers like Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus have played. The North Course is famous for its ocean views.
Kauai
Kiahuna Golf Course

The Kiahuna Golf Course is nearly 6,400 yards that plays to par 70. Golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the course, and left many of the remains of an ancient Hawaiian village on the course.
Poipu Bay Golf Resort

The Poipu Bay Golf Resort has been the home of the PGA's Grand Slam of Golf since 1994. The course is designed in a link-style where golfers can play on more than 5,000 yards to nearly 7,000 yards. On the grounds, there are the remnants of a Hawaiian heiau (place of worship) and ancient stone walls. The course overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and is on top of 80-foot cliffs.
Lanai
The Challenge at Manele

The golf course at the Manele Bay Hotel was designed by golf legend, Jack Nicklaus. The Challenge at Manele is surrounded by native Hawaiian trees, tropical blossoms, and is built on old lava flows. The 12th hole is on a 150-foot cliff. A golfer must make a 200-yard tee shot across the ocean to conquer this hole.
The Experience at Koele

The Experience at Koele is a mountain course designed by Greg Norman and Ted Robinson. You must call 30 days in advance for tee times.
Maui
Pukalani Golf Course

The interesting feature of the Pukalani Golf Course is that it's built on an inactive volcano. The 18-hole golf course is built on Mount Haleakala ("House of the Sun").
Wailea Golf Club

Wailea Golf Club provides amazing views of South Maui's coastline. The club has three golf courses called, "Wailea Gold," "Wailea Emerald," and "Wailea Blue." The Senior Skins Game at Wailea is held annually.
Molokai
Ironwood Hills Golf Club
The Ironwood Hills Golf Club course was originally built in 1938, but was redesigned in 1990. While golfing, visitors will see breathtaking views of Molokai and other outer islands.
Kaluakoi Golf Course
Ted Robinson designed this 18-hole course that has five oceanside fairways. Not only does the course have scenic views of West Molokai, golfers may see wild deer and turkeys from nearby woods.
Oahu
Coral Creek

This is one of the most famous golf courses along the Ewa Plain. Previous golfers say the layout is world-class.
Ko Olina Golf Club

The Ko Olina Golf Club's course has 18 holes, and features waterfalls, pools, and amazing views. The course has been the sight of Senior PGA and LPGA tours. Golf Digest rated the course as one of the "Top 75 Resort Courses in the United States." Ted Robinson designed the course.
